Factory Flooring Systems
Optimum Flooring Services Ltd install industrial factory flooring systems for manufacturing units, warehouses and production facilities across Staffordshire and the wider Midlands. Factory floors take a real beating, from forklift traffic and pallet trucks to dropped tooling, chemical spills and constant footfall, so we specify systems built for durability first, without compromising on appearance or safety.
Depending on your production environment, we can specify heavy-duty polyurethane and epoxy resin systems for chemical, impact and abrasion resistance, self-smoothing pump screeds finished to SR1 standard for a level and durable base, or polyaspartic coatings where a fast-curing, quick-turnaround finish is needed to minimise factory downtime. Line marking and colour zoning can be built into any system to clearly define walkways, machinery exclusion zones and racking bays.
Before any coating goes down, thorough preparation is essential to a long-lasting factory floor. Our teams use three-phase and single-phase mechanical diamond grinding machines to remove existing coatings, adhesives and latex, smooth out high spots, and prepare the substrate correctly, along with shot-blasting where a mechanical key needs to be created in the concrete. Vacuum-attached equipment captures around 95% of dust as we work, keeping preparation virtually dust-free.
We manage every factory flooring project from start to finish, giving you a single point of contact throughout, and we’re often asked by clients to take on associated works such as drainage, refurbishment and even wider warehouse fit-out, based on the trust we’ve built up over years of working together. We hold CHAS and SafeContractor accreditation, and work with trusted material partners including Sika, Resdev and Flowcrete.
