Cold Store Flooring
Optimum Flooring Services Ltd design and install flooring systems specifically for cold stores, chillers and freezer units across Staffordshire and the Midlands. Cold store floors face a unique combination of stresses: sustained low temperatures, thermal shock as doors open and close, moisture from condensation and washdown, and often heavy racking and forklift loads, all of which a standard floor finish simply isn’t built to handle.
We specify resin flooring systems engineered to remain flexible and crack-resistant at low and sub-zero temperatures, with seamless, non-porous surfaces that won’t harbour bacteria and are easy to keep hygienic. Where a cold store is being newly built or extended, we can also design and install custom chillers and refrigeration systems alongside the flooring, giving a genuinely joined-up solution rather than separate trades working around each other.
Whiterock hygienic wall panels are installed alongside the floor to create a fully sealed, easy-clean environment, with coved junctions between floor and wall to remove dirt traps and simplify daily and deep cleaning routines, an important consideration for any food-grade cold storage facility.
Bespoke, made-to-measure stainless steel drainage is designed into every cold store project, ensuring condensation and washdown water is safely and efficiently removed without pooling on the floor, which could otherwise lead to ice formation and slip hazards. One example of our combined cold store expertise is our project for Track Brewery, where we installed resin flooring, custom stainless steel drainage, Whiterock panels and a new cold room and refrigeration system as part of a single, project-managed installation.
From initial design through to installation and aftercare, our team manages the entire cold store flooring project, giving you one point of contact throughout. Call Optimum Flooring Services Ltd on 01782 865099 or email info@ofsltd.uk for a free quotation.
